I had a fun trip this weekend looking at houses in Tijeras NM. I always enjoy looking at Albuquerque east mountain properties, but on Sunday I had an especially interesting treat. I got to see Sherwood Forest.
The morning started simply enough, I met my buyers in Tijeras near I25 and Highway 337 and we began to drive. We drove and we drove. Then we drove some more. We passed through Chilili. We passed another cute little New Mexico town called Tajique :
and then it was on through Torreon NM. All the while I kept thinking only a few more miles......
I was about to give up searching for this mystical place called Sherwood Forest when BAM, around the corner appeared the magical gates:
I couldn't believe my eyes. What could possibly be next, a sighting of Robin Hood?
Now I knew, I was here at last! In fact I was at the corner of Robin Hood and Nottingham Drives!
Why had I come all this way? To see the coolest looking mountain cabin.
I like rustic mountain cabinets, but I like modern conveniences too. This cabin has them all, plus a beautiful screened-in porch from which to enjoy the forest views:
We checked out the beautiful cabin in the enchanted location (so enchanted in fact that the fire the previous summer had skipped right around the building), but before long it was time to head back to Albuquerque.
We stopped for a picture on the way out, figuring it might be our last trip to the Sherwood Forest. We would like to come back, but the drive to get here was just too long. That doesn't mean we didn't have a good time:
Are you looking for your next mountain retreat or Albuquerque East Mountain vacation property? I know just the right place. So if you call me and I tell you I'll take you to the Sherwood Forest, don't laugh at me or think I'm crazy. It really does exist, and it's not too far from Tijeras NM.
I work hard for my buyer clients and we have fun along the way too. Start your search for Tijeras NM Homes for Sale and let's go have an adventure together!
