There's more to Gainesville than just "Gainesville"!

Did you GOOGLE real estate in Gainesville?  If you have found this article by searching online for real estate in Gainesville, Florida  - then this post will give you a wider view of "Gainesville".  Located in North Central Florida, Gainesville is the county seat of Alachua County.  There are many other areas surrounding Gainesville that may not turn up in your searches if you search on the word "Gainesville" only.  This is because many physical addresses do not have "Gainesville" as their city mailing name or certain zip code. There is so much more to Gainesville than just the City Limits!

Other municipalities full of wonderful communities surround Gainesville. So if a home is located in one of those areas, they don't pop up in a search of Gainesville. Don't limit your research of Gainesville.  Here is a list of surrounding communities that are within short drive to Gainesville City Limits.

There are plenty of folks that live in surrounding counties that commute to work in Gainesville.  Most roads lead to Gainesville! Such as I-75, US 441, US 301, SR 24, SR 26 to name a few.

I have sold homes to people who work at Shands Hospital or the University of Florida, yet bought homes in High Springs, Williston, and Newberry.  Many owners here love their country feel without sacrificing access to the urban atmosphere of Gainesville.  If you don't mind a 30-minute commute to work, you just may have deer and hawks in your back yard.  It's beautiful here!

I moved here from Miami in 1995, and live in Jonesville-Newberry area.  I can be at the Oaks Mall or a UF Gator Basketball Game in 15 minutes!  So please, don't under estimate the surrounding communities of Gainesville.  It's a great place to live!
