HELPFUL Real Estate Websites

By
Real Estate Agent with Realty ONE Group

I composed a list of some great real estate websites I wanted to pass on in case you need to utilize them now or in the near future.  You may have heard of a few of them or it may serve as a good reminder.  The real estate market is constantly changing and this is one of the many ways to keep on the up and up.

www.irs.gov - outstanding source for IRS regulations.

www.dre.ca.gov - check the license status of all licensees.

www.zillow.com - find out how much a home may be worth, and any body with an address for that matter.

www.legalinfo.ca.gov - check all the California codes, regulations, pending bills, etc.

www.hud.gov - check the foreclosure sections.

www.aarp.org/ - check the money & work sections, learning & technology sections, family, home & legal section.

www.995hope.com - recommended by USA Today for homeowners in financial trouble.

www.StarOpenHouse.com - to search properties for sale in Orange County, California and gather useful real estate information.

Do you have any great real estate websites to recommend?

I gave you a 5.  This is EXACTLY the kinds of posts I'm looking for. I'm keeping a binder of useful information next to my computer, and I copy and insert and then head back to investigate after hours.  Thanks Susan.

I would have a hard time concluding that Zillow was a great web site. Might just be me but I am not in favor of giving props to companies who are looking at ways to erode my value.

Thanks for good reminder on other useful sites.

Another good site is www.va.gov for Fed VA info etc

Good list.  I'm going to agree with Herb about Zillow, but other than that it's an informative group of links.

I would strike Zillow from this otherwise terrific list.  At least here in the Washington Metro area, their Zestimates are way, way off base on the low side.

I have been working on a comprehensive site list for my Sales Associates and you post was helpful, never thought of www.aarp.org.  Here are two sites for listing your properties internationally.  www.planetpads.com and www.roogala.com very easy to use, listings are free and gives you some different exposure.  Also we have been using VLS homes/ www.postyourlistings.com this company uploads your listings to 19 differnet sites for a nominal fee.  This has been working well and the company is easy to work with.  Hopefully others will share what they are using.
