Beach Party in Leonardtown MD
I went to my first Beach Party in Leonardtown Square this past weekend and I had a wonderful time! The event was planned beautifully and everyone enjoyed the evening festivities. I understand this was their 8th annual Beach Party and so I will look forward to making this a family get together every year!
There were moms and pops meandering with their newborn babes in strollers, kids playing in the sandbox, volleyball games, face painting, hula hoop contests, limbo contests, water slides and a velcro wall (my favorite) which all made for a wonderful evening of fun. I enjoyed seeing the local artists display their crafts as well as learning about the history of Leonardtown so well displayed on a picture board with photos that were both intriguing and fascinating to look at.
The 25th Hour Band entertains the crowd across the square. This band was excellent! The song choices were very diverse and the musicians were top notch.
My nephew gets the upside down assist from the staff.
For the classic car enthusiast, how about a 1966 Shelby Cobra...
...or a Classic Corvette from the 70's.
These kids played under the fire hose all night long!
Next is the Fall Festival and then the Spring Fling next year. Hope to see you there!
