Sharper Agent & Sour Grapes

By
Real Estate Agent with Remax Metro Staten Island, New York

I subscribe to Sharper Agent a newsletter postcard emailing service. I used to subscribe to Realty Times email newsletter service. Realty times is far superior. So far at least 20 and more have removed their name from my mail list, thru Sharper Agent. When I was with Realty times I never had an unsubscribe.  I want to get out of my contract with Sharper Agent but cannot unless I pay them for breaking my contract.  Call it sour grapes but I have had it with the service and would never recommend the company.  The newsletter is boring and doesn't fit full width page. At the bottom of the page is an unsubscribe link that is big like a mole at the end of a persons nose. The postcard are nice and colorful and the options are good. But as far as the customers are concerned here in NY they are just not interested. The Agent at Sharper Agent wrote and told me not to contact my list more than once a month. I sent out 3 mailings this month: One to tell of my merge with Prudential two was the newsletter and three was a postcard mail. The list are seller leads and were content when they got the Realty Times newsletter and a periodic flyer mailing of a new listing direct from my web site.  It was a mistake to sign on with Sharper Agent for me and I wouldn't recommend the tool. I look forward to signing back with Realty Times in the future.

I'm with you - Sharper Agent is hard to use and they make you sign a year to year contract with out letting you know when you are recommitted to another year. To break the contract you have to pay for the full year and believe me their product is not worth it. I started using their newsletters and hated them, now I have a proffessional company do them and never have anyone unsubscribe - I actually get new business from them.

I would not recommend this product to anyone.

There must be an unsuscribe option, otherwise you are in violation of the CAN-SPAM act.
