I had to write this quick blog after I read another blog about bad Real Estate Photography today. And i just thought that it was important to note:
Sales and Marketing Rule #1: " All purchases are based on EMOTION."
It is wise to make all of your marketing efforts as an artist would. If your photography is done well, the buyers will barely read your text description and call you for a showing in person. "A picture is actually worth a thousand words"
Below are a couple of examples of images that create emotion. These examples are all very average professional photos from actual sessions and none of these have been doctored in photoshop or other editing programs. (although, I would always touch them up prior to publishing for a Client) With the right angles, you should always be able to make a room look good to a buyer:
This type of shot will always help capture a buyers attention.
This type of shot will create perception of layout.
This shot is not a great one, however it will help generate a feeling of tranquility. A good photographer should always be able to showcase the view past windows.
I hope that this helps a little bit with your photography, and you are able to see the art behind it. Please I beg you... take some classes and master the trade before showcasing property in the wrong light.
