Lavender Lemonade

I was in Polk County last week showing horse property.  After I finished with my buyers, I decided to make the most of my drive home and stop in at the Lavender Lake Farms on HWY 99W just North of Monmouth Oregon.  I have been driving by their "Lavender Lemonade" sign for years!  I have always wanted to stop and try it (plus I love Lavender) but just never seem to have the time.  Finally, got the time!

Lavender farm in Monmouth OregonFirst of all, after you park and approach their little farm store, it is darling!  Look at this place!  Even the trim is a beautiful shade of purple.  The brick patio gives it a courtyard/cafe feel.  The store/cottage offers a variety of products from satchels, masks (bought one), lotions, candles, essential oils, honey, shampoos, household cleaning products, soaps, herbs and cooking spices-I bought Lavender Salt and Pepper! And yes, I finally tried the Lavender Lemonade!  Delicious.

I understand that the 12 acre Lavender Lake Farm is family owned and

operated, which helps keep that small town feel to the place.

I also got some great tips on growing my own lavender, I need all the help I can get when it comes to gardening.  I will be back!

Sometimes some of the nicest little places are right under our noses, and we just keep driving by.  Glad you took the time to stop!  Sounds like a wonderful place...

Catherine, I visited some lavender farms when I was visiting my brother near Seattle.  They were just beautiful, and the shops smelled wonderful.

Lisa- I am glad I finally stopped too!

Barb - I must admit I was a little nervous on how the lemonade would taste!

Dave - Yes, it is beautiful here, but we do pay for it in the winter.  Lots of rain to keep it green!

Patricia -Aren't they just a relaxing place to go?  I can't believe it took me so long to visit.
