Robert, I appreciate you allowing your post to be re-blogged.  I am hopeful with the economic downturn that people see the writing on the wall what credit cards can do to you.  It is not the card as much as it is the company charging astronomical interest rates and any given time, whether you are consistently up on your payments or not.  They have full control of you once you get locked in.  That is why I am hopeful, the only credit card in peoples wallets in the future will be a debit card. You can only spend then what you have.  Thanks again Robert for sharing.

Reality Credit Score If you need help kicking the credit habit, try paying with cash. New studies show those who pay with cash:
Spend less. Those who pay with credit – and even debit – buy more things, pay a higher price for them (sometimes twice as much) and are less aware of how much they’ve spent than those who pay with cash.*
Learn positive habits. For example, learn how to save for items you want versus charging them and impulse buying.
Gain leverage. Storeowners will often shave huge percentages off big-ticket items for customers who pay with cash.
Become wealthier. Since there’s no postponing the payment, you learn to truly budget and live within your means. And those who plan and budget are almost 40% wealthier than those who don’t.

Interesting facts I've always felt those who pay cash made out better; if we had to pay cash for every purchase we would defiantly think before we spent.

I find it to be true - when I decide to only pay with cash, I am more careful, do more research, and often don't spend the money after all.  Credit cards create a "fake" type of purchase where you can delay the inevitable.  Thanks for the post.
