Use your Active Rain Blog to Reach a Non-techie Market in 3 Simple Steps

As I explained in this blog post, I was talking to a real estate agent at a recent networking event who doesn't use her Active Rain account because her audience is "non techie" and doesn't subscribe to blogs.
- People who don't read blogs use search engines to find information and services.
- Since the search engines love Active Rain, posts she writes on this site have a good chance of being found by her target market.
- Ipso facto she should start blogging on Active Rain poste-haste.
Want to use your AR blog to reach a non-techie audience? Here is the 3 step process.
- Do (or hire someone to do) your keyword research. Your goal is to find the keywords your potential customers use when they are (a) actively seeking your services or (b) looking for information that may lead them to seek your services.
- Create blog posts using your targeted keywords. Your targeted keywords should be in the title and body of your blog post(s). Remember, that your posts must have relevant content. If the title of your blog post is "Getting an FHA Mortgage in Atlanta" the post should provide information on getting an FHA mortgage.
- Rinse and repeat. Post to your blog at least once a week, and your phone will start to ring.
