Did that ever happened to you???

We all are working hard and do our best to keep up with the pace of Blogging on AR. In the beginning I was not so much into it, but lately as I got engaged more and more with my other friends on this community, I am working rigorously on my blog.

It happened before to find out that the points on my account did not much my activity (according with AR's own records). Today Aug.20th. I see that my points doesn't reflect the activity on my account again.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My Comments on others blogs (on Aug.20th.)are 13... but on my Points summary shows only 7 (with the 20 points each)

2. My Blogs are marked with 200 points when in fact I have more than 3-4 comments on them...

  1. Blog Entry: Where to find gadgets  has  6 comments... marked only 200pionts
  2. Blog Entry: More traffic to your Blog  has 9 comments... marked only 200 points
  3. Blog Entry: It's a dilema...or political game?  has 6 comments... marked only 200points

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

WHY IS THAT? There is something wrong with AR server? Can that be corrected? It is quite frustrating to work so hard to position my blog as high as I can and get IN RETURN such poor results on my points...   Wouldn't be nice to get our correct points?

Did that happend to you? Maybe you did not even know... pay attention and be aware!

Arina, the points often take awhile to register on AR...my 'home page' is almost always different than the "Las Vegas page" ...the "Las Vegas page" is current...it can take quite awhile for the 'home page' to 'catch up' with the LV page.  Also, 10 replies per day @ 25 points each. any  replies over that do not count for points, just friends!!!

I don't think it's just you, on my "Activity list" there are seven comments on my last blog post.. but only 4 when you click on the blog. I think something is going funky with the system.

It seems like they catch up after a while.  If I just keep doing my thing, it all works out.

08/20/2007 08:49 PM by Judi Barrett (Integrity Real Estate Services)

Yeah, mine catches up with me also.

Arina,

Thanks for the post. I find that it all comes out in the wash. The system periodically updates and the accumulated points are appropriately awarded.

08/20/2007 08:57 PM by William Collins, Broker Associate (ERA Queen City Realty)

I understand Mary, but you see even the Points Summary conflicts their own records in My Comments... on the same day and page.

I don't expect them to register more than 10 comments/day... but not only 7 out of 13. The problem I have, I guess, is that I found similar conflicts in the past, but I ignored them... it is to much trouble to go over all those records. But today it was to obvious and I don't know if it's my computer or the AR server...

I send them an email and hope that they will clarify that for me.

Thank you Mary.

I noticed that it takes a little while for the points to catch up with your efforts.....

08/20/2007 08:59 PM by Exit Realty Showcase

It does take a while to catch up, but if you click on your PROFILE page, you can see the actual (true) numberr of points that you have accrued...

As a test I just went back and posted an other comment on Jacqulyn Richey - Las Vegas Real Estate blog. That would be the 15th for today... Guess what!!! this time the points went through (20points) came up on my account. Isn't that wired?

08/20/2007 09:30 PM by Arina Hanciulescu (ELITE REALTY)

I say, just visit and read blogs and comment on the ones you want to the points will come.

My point summary is way off this evening as well. Frustrating, to say the least.

Hi Arina. I've found that if my comments aren't long enough, they don't seem to get credited for points. WHat I do to check is: after I've made 10 comments, I'll log out of AR, log back in, and reload the numbers on the points summary page. The overall points should adjust and your breakdown will show whicj comments received points.

08/20/2007 10:35 PM by Ilyce N. Powell, CMPS™ - Certified Mortgage Planning Specialist (Envision Lending Group)

Hi Ilyce,

I do understand your point and, a while ago, I thought so too... I made several tests with short comments (very short) and they came through adding the 10 points/each. I made long (very long) comments and they did not go through... You figure out!

I am getting all confused and unhappy here. It's not that I am after the points (and why not?...) but we, all here, are following the same rules. We do what we are supposed to do and count on AR's system to do the same. The entire base on this blog is, for us all, to have a fair shot.

Simple as that.

PS. Came back to this comment as,again, this not pass through. The bottom line I wrote today 20 comments and got the points for 8... In couple of hours an other day an other 10 comments. And all adds up!

08/21/2007 12:21 AM by Arina Hanciulescu (ELITE REALTY)

I've seen the same things Arina. There must be some "manual" aspect of it. Also, the length of your comments might be a factor in determining whether or not they qualify.

08/21/2007 04:14 AM by Century 21 First Realty

I did few tests on posting comments and find out that the lengths of your comments doesn't affect the credit for points. Moreover quite long comments don't not get the credit as well.

08/21/2007 03:29 PM by Arina Hanciulescu (ELITE REALTY)

Try not to concentrate on points so much. Try just learning and teaching and networking. The points will catch up.

08/21/2007 04:09 PM by Cheri' Smith (ERA Whitaker Realty)

Thank you Cheri... Why didn't I thought of that?

08/21/2007 05:39 PM by Arina Hanciulescu (ELITE REALTY)

What about the linked section. I put in 2 links and only 1 is getting credit. I thought you got 600 points per so I should have another 600. Anyone know when it gets credit?

08/21/2007 05:56 PM by Shawn Ziem (Tri-State Mortgage)

Hello Shawn,

That happend to me too... I had to send an email to the Technical Support and they fixed the problem.

Go to: http://activerain.com/action/default/feedback  and submit request for verification.

08/21/2007 07:19 PM by Arina Hanciulescu (ELITE REALTY)

Arina - I'm with Cheri on this. Just keep blogging and commenting and the points will follow. You have a very nice blog and I know you will enjoy success through it.

08/25/2007 10:52 AM by Tom Plant - Murrieta Real Estate Expert - Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage (Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage)

Thank you all for the comments on this blog.

I do really keep working diligently on my blog and daily comments but I can not ignore the result I get on my activity. Why would be that insignificant the points we getting on our blogs?... when everybody is on this for promoting their work and gaining good ranking on search engines? And sometimes a referral or two...
