I added all my listings to Real Bird tonight. It was so easy to transfer my listings to many other places afterwards. First, of course, because of the information below, I sent them to Craigslist, it was so easy! I also sent it to Facebook and several others on my RealBird page. It was so simple, Kudos to their programmers, it was so seamless. Also, because of the email RealBird sent me today, I discovered Vast and Edgio. I joined those sites today. I already was a member of Trulio.

For all that did not receive their email, this is from the RealBird email to me today. (RealBirds results of most active listing referral sources.)

I know it is hard for us to keep up with all the new tecnology, but I sure plan on keeping my listings up with RealBird and I thank them for making this a free service last week! And, no, I do not work for them!

You will notice my new RealBird widget on the right. You can install that anywhere on your realty sites, as well.

Have fun with your listings. I did!

This blog is what got me started.

RealBird flies free

I have never heard of Real Bird before just now reading it on your blog. I joined Craig's list last week and ask that they add Rome, GA, I wonder how long it will take for them to add our city????

I received the same email this morning and just kind of glanced at it thinking 'What a strange name'. Thanks to your enthusiastic post I'll go back and take a second look. Sounds like this may be a valuable online tool.

Hi David,

I posted a Condo Listing on RainBird, however there is no settings for Canada, hopefully They will rectify this soon as there are a lot of Canadian Realtors ON AR who might like to try their services.

Thanks for your heads up on this service.

Cheers, have a great day!

Thanks for the heads up. I had trouble posting-it wouldn't let me save my listing or post. I post on Craigslist with no problem. Any suggestions? What could be the problem?

Did you got to the 360° Marketing presentation last week? Was Real Bird one of the "inventory marketing" avenues that was recommended? I think Inventory Marketing was the part of Alex Green Wright's presentation , and the part on the 360° wheel that Real Bird would fall under.

Is the map the Real Bird widget? Are your widgets getting scrunched? It looks like there is a widget over a widget.

Hi Maureen, RealBird was not part of 360 as far as I know. Yes, my widgets are scrunched, I am working on them. I think I need some html work to seperate them. Nothing I try works. Any ideas? The map is the RealBird widget. I don't know if I like it or just the listings widget better. Thanks for helping....David

Hello Susan, I would try again. My listings worked the first time with no problems. I posted to almost all the choices after I did Craigslist and everything went through. Good luck, DavidC

Hi David, I've been playing with your post all day. All of this technology is mindboggling to me, and your excellent post has led me in all sorts of interesting directions. Thank you very much for opening my eyes and for generously sharing your info in a way that techno-twits can grasp. Warmly, Juliet

Well thank you Juliet, you mean you found me before I found you? I just saw your AR site tonight and was really impressed. I added you as an associate. I hope you don't mind.

RealBird helped me get my listings all over the internet today. I also learned how to set up a blog "feed".Some of the popular sites they mentioned like Vast and Trulia use these feeds to automatically draw your listings to their site from RealBird. You just do it one time! You use the feed service from the widgets page. If you have trouble just let me know. Thank you again, DavidC

Maureen, thanks, I used the
and they got un-scrunched!

Thanks to you Maureen.

BTW, I am going to Cleveland R1 RL HQ in the AM. I have been invited to join a referral group by Kim Kapustic. I think it must have something to do with my internet presence, mostly due to joining AR last month. She started writing me about then. I will give you a full report afterward. Barbara Reynolds is paying for parking, so it must have her blessing. Thank you for being there for me, David.

It's my post, I can fly my colors!

I love R1 RL HQ, w/ the BTW and the AM I had a huh? moment. R1 RL HQ made me think of R2D2.

Have you been to RL HQ in Columbus ever? That is what is pictured on the Real Living Group on ActiveRain is now. That is outside 77 E. Nationwide Blvd. where RL HQ and RL HER HQ and the Real Living HER Metro Office.

Do you still say Realty One Real Living in your market or is it Real Living Realty One?

I did not do anything more than say Welcome to ActiveRain... well except telling you to try to use the
to keep your widgets from scrunching up.

You, a Star Wars girl?

We say Realty One first, as that is really our brand in NE OH. (More shorts) But as the Real Living name grows, that could change. I have been to NW but not RL HER HQ. As you may remember, my girl is a TOSU grad and has been working at Riverside Hosp. for @ 5 years now. She is a nurse on the open heart team. Everyone knows if you have those kind of problems in C-Bus, you should check into Riverside! Also, I worked on the "Horseshoe" for 3 years in my former life and know the area very well.

You did more than welcome me, Maureen. Your AR blog and your Columbus blog are inspirations to all of us at what hard work and persistence can do for our careers. Thank you.

BTW, scrunching and widgets reminds me of a wedgie!!!! ; )

BTW, did you ever do a spell-check on AR and "blog" is not on the list, but blob is.....just curious to me!

O-H-I-O!! Me and my girl at Hineygate 2006!

Can you believe my graphic to post this is "paterno"? Where is the complaint desk located?

Hey

THANKS for the tip! Just signed up myself. ;) Couple follow up questions...

*what is 360° Marketing?

* when you say you submit your listing to facebook, is there a widget that does that already?

*also how do you set up a blog feed?

cheers,

Cindy

ps. sorry for all these questions~

Hello Cindy,

Thanks for stopping by. 360 marketing is a company thing with Real Living, my Broker.

Yes, there is a widget on the RealBird pages, but there are other methods to post also, such as Feedostyle . Just set up an account and you are good to go!

But you need a special web link to post from that recognizes RSS and such. RealBird is easy to do this as they supply you the link. It is easy once you post some listings, just go to the widget tab on top and follow the directions. Any more questions, just ask me........Regards, David
