HyperLocal Blog Concepts for Local SEO

Services for Real Estate Pros with Frederick Web Promotions

Some of you AR Bloggers are a bit fuzzy on exactly how to incorporate "hyper local" posts in your Real Estate SEO strategy.

That is completely understandable:

On one level this seems almost counter-intuitive, your probably thinking: " You're in business to sell houses... how does writing a blog post about your community (geographical area) sell a house?

Google does more filtering out "less authoritative" content than it does assign a positive value to you AND your offerings.

Translation: it isn't really that hard for you to get Google's attention, here's an example of how I went about doing this in my geographical area:

Feds pay man for Agent Orange exposure at Md. base August 07, 2010 12:57 EDT FREDERICK, Md. (AP) -- A West Virginia man is receiving compensation from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for exposure to Agent Orange during military service at Maryland's Fort Detrick. Sixty-eight-year-old Gary Abram served at Fort Detrick from November 1962 to 1964. Abram says he received a letter from the VA in 2008 that acknowledged the Department of Defense had spray-tested substances, including Agent Orange, at Fort Detrick while he was there. Agent Orange is the nickname for a blend of herbicides the U.S. military sprayed during the Vietnam War to remove plants and leaves that provided enemy cover. The VA has recognized certain cancers and diseases associated with Agent Orange exposure. Abram was treated for lymphoma, has diabetes and has had thyroid problems since the 1970s.
