What does art mean to you? Does it inspire you, move you, or just bore you? I've always loved painting, drawing, sculpting, and molding clay. There's something liberating about expressing one's self so individually. I have many friends who can wander around the St.Louis art museum or The Sheldon art galleries with me for hours on end and lose track of time, but I also have friends that after five or ten minutes are ready to leave.

I've always loved Monet and Van Gogh. So much emotion infused into their work. I like to imagine what was going through their minds while working on certain pieces. I still love all of the great painters, but I also realize how important it is to support local artists who struggle to get their work noticed.  There are so many talented artists in this community. The next time there's a St.Louis art fair , please attend. You might be surprised what you find. Passionate and talented people just trying to express their passion. And you won't have to wait long because it's always in September and that's right around the corner!! Yeah!
