Success can be defined in many ways but I certainly think that for the golfers, spectators and people that worked at the Jeld-Wen Traditions golf tournament in Crosswater this last week success is simply defined as job well done.

Sunriver and Crosswater are no strangers to big golf tournaments but this was one of the biggest taken on by our small community. To the spectator it seemed like this was just another day in Crosswater that hosting an event like this happened all the time. In reality it was a first for this tournament. The weather was great expect for the last day, which started with rain and wind but ended with an over cast sky and sun breaks.

I know nothing of golf, and have never attempted to understand the game. After being involved with this tournament I can see why people love this game. If for nothing more a few hours with the beauty of our area, of course Crosswater is located in the heart of Central Oregon and the beauty surrounds the course.

Jeld-Wen has a contract to continue this tournament with Crosswater for the next 3 years, as well as this year went I can only imagine how great this event will grow to be.

Enjoy the photos, I have no idea who they are of or what I was shooting, but they seemed good to me. Next year I promise to have a little more golf knowledge to share with you.

My whole family golfed...(us kids were forced to) and then my mom tried to get my kids into it. She is the ONLY one who still golfs at 79 years old. Nice pictures and one thing is for sure....a golf course is peaceful.

I know nothing about golf! One of the blogs I plan to do soon (another one about Daytona) is about the LPGA here and I'm going to have to do some major research!

Good job Thesa. Golf is a great exposure sport. The popularity and the fact that it showcases a lot of beauty helps us all to know more about this great country of ours.

Thesa - I've been out sick but have been dying to see your photos - great job. Thanks for coming through for us - Jack is a total golf junkie - he thinks the TV only has 1 channel - the Golf Channel (LOL)

Thesa....  overall, sounds like a success and that you had fun. And most of all, learned a little...  and so did the community. And luckily the weather was good for the most part.

Chris - It was pretty exciting we have this tournament for 3 more years and with the success the first year showed my guess is it may become a TRADITION - pun is intended.

Sally - I have never picked up a club - we are given golf passes every year and I hand them out like candy - this year a client said to me that I had just saved them over $250 I was shocked... now I give them out to my clients that golf instead of wasting them on someone who will not be loyal to me... I felt pretty silly when I realized just how valuable they were.

Lynda - I am not sure I will ever golf... but I certainly did enjoy watching it and the walking is so relaxing yet good for me... I had a blast.

Paula - it was great and you were all right - they could care less that I knew nothing about their game... they knew nothing about my area... so we were a prefect match.

Lisa - best of luck - we have a LPGA tournament here too... but it does not receive half the attention this one did.

Ashley - thanks - that's right - I think next year depending on how busy I am I may actually volunteer - this year I was replacing someone that at the last minute could not do it... I had a great time.

Mana - I wish I had taken my camera on the first day - the day these photos were taken it was actually raining... we are blessed to have the kind of beauty we have.

Neal - it was a lot of fun - we have so many courses around us... I am thinking next spring when there is snow still on the mountains I need to blog about each course... to me they are much more beautiful when the mountains have snow on them.

Susie - they are beautiful and all of our courses in Central Oregon have spectacular views.

David - I bet you are.... there is not a whole lot green around you... most golfers fall in love with Central Oregon - maybe you should visit - we could use a good Mortgage guy here.

Herb - it is great exposure and it was a lot of fun...

Stephanie - it was great - Oregon is very different from Texas -

Cyndee - I hope you are feeling better - tell Jack I have about 40 other photos... I have no idea who they are of... but they are all taken from the same vantage point.

Rita - Not to embarrass you but believe it or not that is not the club house... it is a residence on the course... amazing uh? the average sales price in Crosswater is currently running over $2,000,000. It is a beautiful place.

Marchel - I had a great time.

Valerie - wow look who's back in the RAIN - I have missed you - hope all is well.

Jeff - it was a lot of fun and I did learn a lot... I also learned that I am the real estate expert and they are the golf experts.
