La Quinta, California, has summer that is extreme heat like winter is extreme cold in many places. We are in the midst of our summer- over 100 days of 100+ weather. It is fun for us as there are not alot of people around. The days are more laid back. The pools are warm. The mornings and evenings are cool. We have a chance to relax from work, relax from social life, get some tasks like cleaning out closets completed and repairs to the home, enjoy less traffic on the roads and less people in the stores and restaurants, plus lots of bargain prices too. The sun is radiant heat here and very stimulating and healing. The people who are here are happy, calm, relaxed. The golf courses are wide open and low prices too. This time of year is a gift is so many ways.
Now come November, the people come back to La Quinta, California. The daylight hours are shorter. The evenings and mornings are chilly, though the days are in the 80's. There are lots of social events, the golf courses are buzzing, the restaurants are full. The area is full of energy, fun, excitement.
