Monday Morning Motivator & Some Points to Ponder...

Grandma's and Momma's know best.  It's funny how we forget many things but, remember the great little saying our moms and grandmothers would say.

Nothing worth doing is easy.

Do unto others as you would have others do unto you.

The early bird gets the worm.

Wisdom is something no one can take from you.

Grandmas are always right! Your Grandma obviously worked hard and taught you right!

Michael, Great post to start the week.  Grandma was right!   Most people today have no idea how good we have it compared to grandma's days!

Hi Michael....Yes people have choices, Grandma's words of wisdom are many times ignored. Then the light goes on..sometimes too late.

We make choices every day..we all know right from wrong, thanks to our up bringing.

One simple statement of wisdom deserves another -- 'truer words were never spoken.'

Hi Michael, with age comes wisdom and the ability to cut to the chaste.  Like many great people, our elders are not fully appreciated until after their time.  Thanks for opportunity to pause and ponder.

Very True Michael. We do have a choice and life is what we make it.  No more, no less.  We are so fortunate that everyday we wake up, we have the ability to make the choice of what we are going to make of the day, not what the day is going to make of us.  Take control, and carpe diem.  As a mother and a role model, our youth can get tired of hearing all of these things (sayings, etc), but it does sink in, and it does help shape them, whether we realize it or not.  Don't stop spreading the message, later in life, you will hopefully see those seeds blossom.  We all have to continue to teach the youth these valuable insights. Happy Monday my friend!!!  

Who can argue with grandma! and I am grateful that every day is a new day and a chance to begin anew.

Everyday when the sun rises it offers everyone an opportunity. Opportunity may differ for each person depending on what you are looking for. We all have the same amount of time and I say utilize that time wisely. When the sun sets....rest well.

Mike, grandmothers are great. My mother's mother was very wise, she was a Cherokee Indian, could not read or write...but so, so wise.

Grandma was absolutely correct Michael....so we better take heed and make it a good one!

If Grandma was like mine, you learned to say god things about people, bad things never help. If she didn't like what I said, she would let me know. ANd I remembered not to say it again.

Beautifully expressed Michael.  The lessons my mother taught me are still with me today.  I thank God for her (not to mention my father) for all that I am today.

Michael - I also love, rever and miss my Nana. She also shared some memorable words to live by and one I can still hear is, "Everything in moderation." She was right, of course, exercising moderation is a form of self control and temperance.
