Visit the Museum of Aviation, located in Warner Robins GA, adjacent to Robins Air Force Base.
The Museum of Aviation is the 2nd largest U.S. Air Force museum, one of the largest aviation museums in the U.S., and the official home of the Georgia Aviation Hall of Fame. The sprawling 51 acre complex is home to nearly 100 aircraft, 4,000 artifacts, and 22 permanent displays. According to the museum, since it opened in 1984, "more than 9.7 million people from all over the world have visited the museum."
The Museum of Aviation sponsors several education programs such as Young Astronaut's Day, Starbase Robins (hands-on science/math based curriculum) for 4th/5th graders, and Mission Quest (interactive flight experience) for junior high/high school students. All told, nearly 800,000 kids have participated.
