Before Iraq, training in 29 Palms, California

 This is a follow on post to Going Back to Iraq

Hello everyone,    

As usual, I have a lot of pictures of my platoon and the people who will fight alongside me. This time i'm relying on the newer guys to take the pictures and i'll just snag them up later.

As usual, if in order:

1) 

This is the camp we start at. Beautiful sunrise each morning preceded by a blistering heat. Those huts are what we stay in. More like Dutch ovens as i mentioned before

Myself and a buddy Chris "Vicious" playing Bacci with a bunch of rocks.

Another typical picture per military....everyone sleeping where you can, waiting for whatever.

Another great scenic picture with the sun peaking through in the morning. The humvees in the middle ground are circled up in a wagon-wheel with some cami-netting providing some shade. You can see how barren it all is.  (Not sure with the size if you can actually see the humvees in the center as described)

The trucks we used were always overheating in this weather. Here we are waiting on some help to pick us up and bring some water.

Yet another great sunset picture with the humvees in the foreground.

7) Just me being a goofball wearing my gasmask, goggles and gloves. No one knew what i was doing as i sat there and read my book. (I thought he took after me, not sure after this, but nice view of his new tatoos on his chest)

8) The Captain Morgan salute. These three guys are from left: Rob "DUI", Daniel "Tits", Nick "Stitch"   Hope you enjoyed the few pics. I got a lot but that's a just a little taste of a few people and the scenery.

9)  My platoon I am in the front, it appears as second from the left, but someone is behind the first guy.

I made it look so nice didn't i? what was I complaining about?!
