BUILD A HOUSE IN ST MARY'S MARYLAND PART 2
If you've visited my blogsite you will find my first blog about building a home in St Mary's MD. You will have seen the initial building showing the foundation and framing of the house being built.
Here is the latest progress in just three weeks.
My client is very excited at the progress. The house is now under roof with windows in place, no doors yet.
This is the time for the pre-drywall walk through. The time when you have the power to walk through walls!! The time to make sure that the lights, outlets, connections for fans and plumbing fixtures are all in place as you ordered. It's good to know where power and cable lines are located, as well as water and gas pipes, they will soon be 'hidden'.
We could see the sprinkler system in place, with its own insulation (protection against freezing temperatures). Sprinkler systems are a requirement in new homes built in Maryland.
Next step will be the installation of insulation followed by drywall, a very messy job. Throughout the process building inspectors come in to check that everything is up to Maryland code. Finally there will be a blue tape walkthrough identifying any problems you see so that the builder can correct them before, or immediately after, settlement on your new house.
Well, what do you think? Are you ready to build a house in St Mary's MD. There are builders all over St Mary's county building in locations such as Wildewood, Greenbrier, Pembrooke, Clements Landing, Beverly Hills and Hickory Hills. As I've said before whether you are buying new construction, or a previously owned home, it is advisable for you to have Buyer's Representation.
