Update on Great Lakes Submarine Location Lake Erie

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with Envelope Real Estate Brokerage Inc

Port Burwell on Lake Erie was selected by The Elgin Military Museum over Port Stanley as the home for the decommissioned Canadian Naval submarine HMCS Ojibwa.

It is estimated the sub and accompanying museum will bring 45 jobs and about 100,000 tourists a year to Port Burwell with a population of 1,200.

I wrote a tongue in cheek blog about the location of the sub and the protection of the Great Lakes. http://tyslondonontarioblog.com/post/1779477/submarine-battle-on-the-great-lakes-

That's a huge shot in the arm for a community of that size Ty. Good for them.

Malcolm. I agree and the surrounding area should benefit as well.

Janice, a boost in tourism is welcome and employment of 45 people, even part time is a bonus.
