Florida State Funds Help Reinforce Homes Against Hurricanes

Single family homeowners can now apply for up to $5,000 in state funds to help strengthen their homes against hurricanes.  There are guidelines that must be met for qualification purposes, they are as follows:

  • Property must be currently insured for windstorm damages
  • Must be the homeowner's "Homestead Property"
  • The property value may NOT exceed $500,000
