Stop Asking For Referrals and Start Asking for Introductions

By
Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker Dynasty

For the last few months I got about 8 referrals. Most of them from my Center of Influences. So I been trying to figure out how to get more referrals.

I went to a Joe Stumpf's Real Estate seminar yesterday at Hawthorne and he hit the nail right on the spot. Clients give out referral if they really like the service and they have a good feeling that the person they refer would like it too. So imagine if you tell someone like a friend or relative that you just got into real estate and for them to refer you to people that they know to you who have not done any real estate transaction for them. It would be a lot easier to tell people you know that you are in Real Estate, loans, etc. that you are in the business and for them to introduce you to people that they know that might need your help.

Stop asking for referral, Start Asking for Introductions

After the seminar I called a few friends and instead of asking them for referrals I ask them to give me a call and introduce me to anyone that might need real estate help. I got 2 introductions.

Is there a better way to get referrals/introductions?

Song, This is very true & insightful. Introductions are key.

A face to face is always the best way to show who you are and demonstrate what you are capable of to your client.

Great piece of advice - I think I will incorporate a similar idea in my referral introduction campaign - thanks,

 Jeana: Thanks and I agree.

Rob: Thanks. I wouldn't say it is a new concept but just a different wording.

Dan: Face to face is always good.

Great post - thanks. I tend to work with warm leads/referrals vs cold leads/referrals for the very reasons you outlined above.

Carol I agree that warm leads are so much better than cold ones.
