I think that we are in for a bit of a cash crunch for most. Personally, I plan to liquidate stocks and move cash into real estate. The tough part is getting a decent lender approval, rate, and terms these days! Lenders are tightening up BIG TIME and making anything "out-of-the box" more difficult! With many lenders now & will continue to go out of business, Soon many of these loan programs may NOT be available, which bring me back to point one:

Katrina, I missed this when I was sick last week - great info and I agree - most professionals will tell you, "You can't pick the high and low of the real estate market any more than you can pick the high and low of the the stock market"
Great point on now is the time when lending and motivated sellers make it a great time to buy a home in The Tampa Bay area

The one advantage to buying stocks low vs Real Estate is, they NEVER make any more LAND, Real Estate inevitably ALWAYS increases over the long haul, here is a PRIME EXAMPLE.
In the United States Homeownership is real for most that really want it, and in MANY other countries ONLY the predominately WEALTHY own homes, and get to keep them!
