What: The annual Maryland State Fair is one of the biggest events in the region that each year attracts upwards of half a million visitors over its 11-day run. Originally a livestock show, the event now includes live entertainment, music, exhibitions and circus acts. A great family day out, visitors can enjoy all manner of events and entertainment ranging from witnessing the birth of calves and piglets at the farm enclosure to cheering on the pigs in the ever-popular Swifty Swine Pig Racing Show. There are also numerous food and drinks stalls, as well as amusement rides.

Admission: Adults US$6; children (aged 6–11 years) US$3; children under 6 free. Rides cost extra.

Rides: Tickets may be purchased at the Midway Ride Ticket BoothsTickets are $1 each and each ride uses approximately 3 to 7 ride tickets.  Ride discount ticket sheets are also available at ride ticket booths:  50 ride tickets for $45.00.
