The City of Milwaukee is still running its Rent Assistance to Home Owner program in which the City of Milwaukee will provide assistance to families currently on rent assistance to buy their own home. This program will pay a portion of the mortgage for up to 15 years.
It is a great program, and I know from experience, it works. Homes must meet certain standards. Plenty of eligible homes are available at today's low prices. The City will inspect the home, in addition you still have the option to hire your own State Licensed Inspector to represent you.
