Try Learning Another Something New Everyday! I Just Did - Second Day!
Thanks to Looking at Active Rain blog posts every day, - - - I just learned something new - - - again! Every day, it's important to try to learn something new.
I was wandering around on different posts, then returning to my post on Try Learning Something New Everyday! I Just Did! to place comments. The light bulbs went off for me! I am sure you veterans already know this, but for me, it was a revelation, and I immediately tried it! I went back into the application PICNIK that I spoke about in the last post.
I also realized that I was about to learn something new again!
I just took the slide show one step further, and placed it into my website. The slide show was about the home I will be doing an Open House for in a week. I realized that I would love to use that PICNIK slide show on my website for many different applications, so why not try this first on a hidden page? ... See if it worked ....
Eureka! It did! Gotta love Active Rain ....

Kind of fun to learn something new everyday, isn't it?
Try Learning Another Something New Everyday! I Just Did!
Dagny ~ That is great! I love learning new things every day. I use Slide a lot for slide shows. I'll have to check out PICNIK a little more. Thanks for sharing!
Hi Dagny....Yes we share and learn from one another in the Rain, been that way since i joined...and yes the new friends are a big plus too. I met you and introduced you to AR..it took you a while then you jumped on board 110%. What a great contributor you are here.
Have you tried Photobucket..it easy to upload your photos and create a slide show, or just keep the album with separate photos..each will have it's own html code or link too.
Cheers.
Whoa! Between you Carra, with Slide (I will try ...) and
Fred, you with Photobucket - which I have tried, but not for slide shows ......
THANKS A MILLION, GUYS!
I just learned something new on AR, you can find leaky pipes in walls with a thermal imaging device. check out blog... http://activerain.com/blogsview/1809236/thanks-to-our-thermal-imaging-investigation- having the right tool for the job makes a difference.
David - That's an awesome thing! That means when you test a foreclosure house, turn on the water, you can actually make sure the pipes have not been removed or destroyed!
Dagny- Thanks to Active Rain I found Picnik a while back. I have not quite stepped up to the slideshow yet, but I liked what you did.
Hi Dagny, Such synchronicity! I am on the same video learning curve as you are and just made my own video using photo story and You Tube. It is so exciting!
I am just thrilled with ActiveRain and what you can learn from folks in this vibrant community-everyone bringing something different: totally new information and much needed reminders of something stuck way back in my brain. Great posts, these last two especially. Today is my 1 month anniversary and I am getting more excited every day. And thank you for visitng my blog-you were one of the first and I appreciated your visits! : )
Ellie- I just like the slide show so much! I enjoy your blog so much, Ellie - thanks!
Barbara -You are very welcome! I like to see what interesting things are being written about, and your post was a very good one. You sound like you are on a very steep learning curve. Good for you!
Cathy - I missed you! I hope that it was a good busy, and not family problems ..... Thanks for taking the time to stop by and say hi!
Dagny I try to learn something new evey day, but not necessarily real estate related
Karen- Good for you - I am the same... garden, realestate, tennis paddle tennis, golf, or just something new in life!
Tammy - PhotoBucket also has a good one, I see ...
There is so much information on ActiveRain. Luckily, there is a search function. Slide show looks great.
Wow, Dagny...I've had a Piknik account for some time now, but never explored it beyond creating collages or resizing pictures...but you can actually create a slide show with it? Cool!
Thanks, Harry!
William, it's a great free site, and now i've learned about some others such as Photobucket....
Dagny - I for one am glad I joined AR ..... it has changed the learning curve for ever
I certainly agree! The webinars also added a great deal of value for learning.
