Opening a New Real Estate Office - Part One

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with Oceanside Realty BK3213918

Sometimes the best things you do in life don't happen till latter in your life. My family has owned restaurants and bars for many years in the past, so hard work is not something we are afraid of. I on the other hand really enjoy my real estate career. I have a passion for what I do; it is not just a job. I have always looked at being the Broker as a headache I didn't want, as it would consume too much time and interfere with my main goal of helping people achieve the joy of homeownership.

But....as life happens, your goals change. I have realized now that by being the Broker I can make the experience of buying and selling a home something better then they had before. I can be that trend setter of a better experience. So today I start my new journey of opening my own Real Estate Company "Oceanside Realty".

I haven't had as much time as I would have liked to be prepared for today, as my past Broker didn't take kindly to the idea I got my Brokers license and had future plans, and told me I was terminated effective immediately. So I was given that push that I gladly accept, and off I go. Renting office space, getting licenses, opening bank accounts and all the steps I need to take. I will probably stumble here or there, but I know I will succeed, because I have learned you can do anything you set you mind to.  Wish me luck!

Wow, Ginny...good for you!  If you follow your heart in meeting the needs of your clients...you WILL succeed.

I am stunned, however, by your previous broker's action to fire you..."effective immediately".  What kind of culture was in that office where someone else's success wasn't a cause for celebration?

Good luck and God's blessing on your new business!
