Partnering with Non-Profits...

One of the most overlooked ways of growing our businesses is through partnering with community and community based organizations. As business owners, we often fail to leverage this all important aspect to expand our business opportunities.
We often choose to give anonymously to local concerns for fear of reprisal. According to Tom Kunz former president of Century 21 International, nothing could be further from the truth.
This video gives the basis for why we all need to be educated and educate others. After all, community sponsorship is just not for the "Big Boys". It's for us smaller businesses too...

I am a fan of giving back in Austin, Texas and though my company donates to and sponsors many local charities and organizations, I also appreciate the individual efforts of those I work with on a regular basis. Great post Michael and thanks for spotlighting this issue when there are so many in need these days!

Good morning Michael (or afternoon for you :)  thanks for sharing, you just reminded me of a flyer I need to do that's a win win for the organization and for my business, it's now in writing on the "to do" list instead of floating around in my head :)

School is never out for the Successful.

We are all business people in our local areas. It seems right to participate in a program or event to return something back to our communities.

Good deeds are always appreciated. Volunteer projects in your community is good for you and others as well. It's "we the people" that has made this country great.

Michael, I frequently donate time and energy to the local community.  And, you would be surprised who recognizes you for that in the grocery store or gas station....even when you look like a wreck and would rather just pop in and out quickly.

I agree and great idea as usual.

I am in the process of doing just that Michael. I am partnering with a local organization that helps promote the wellbeing of young boys by keeping them off of the streets.
