Real Estate Pro - Linkedin Application

By
Real Estate Agent with LAER Realty Partners

I bumped into a new(?) App on LinkedIn - Real Estate Pro.

Let me first thank Pat Moyer, one of the active and successful member of Online Dominance program. She mentioned about this new app on LinkedIn. (After Facebook and iPhone, Apps seems to be used very frequently and now LinkedIn has few apps, too!)

I could not wait to research about this new app and did create my account on Rofo and did post one listing with my basic (free for 30 days?) membership. And since I know this app for just couple of hours, I do appreciate additional information on this, how we can benefit from this and in turn, benefit our clients.

What is Real Estate Pro? (Click on the YouTube video link below)

Here is the description of this app:

The Real Estate Pro for Linkedin is a turnkey application for real estate professionals and those looking to stay connected with their local real estate marketplace. As a professional it's an easy way to highlight your listings and completed deals, stay in touch with existing connections, and build new business contacts.

After creating and activating your account on Rofo, adding a listing is relatively easy process which you can either do it by yourself or assign it to a virtual assistant. (With so many ways to market on Internet, I guess, we will have to start hiring VAs for such tasks.)

Similar to facebook listing pages (create a page for your listings through RealBird), these added listings can be promoted on your LinkedIn profile as well as you can promote yourself as a real estate professional on LinkedIn.

Real Estate Pro is added to your Linkedin homepage. This is an easy way to access and update the app when you are signed in.

By no means, this is NOT an ad or marketing gimmick from Rofo. I am a Realtor(r) and part of ActiveRain community. I felt that this new development on LinkedIn will be very helpful to many of us who believe in promote the listings on Internet and marketing on Social Media websites such as Facebook and LinkedIn.

Thanks, once again, to Pat Moyer, for introducing me to this new app.

I hope at least you'll try Real Estate Pro app's basic version (and Pro version is not expensive, either.)

wow! Amazing how many applications and options we have to advertise our listings online. Thanks for sharing! Hopefully one day we will be able to post all the info in one site and share with all the other apps :)

Thanks for the LinkedIn app info.  I'm still trying to wrap my head around all the apps out there to help promote our listings.  I'll definitely go check this out.

I do the PR for Rofo, so of course I'm biased, but just wanted to let you know that having your listings and deals on LinkedIn is different from other Internet offerings because of what they call "Network Updates". These are weekly emails that tell users what's new with everyone in their network (did they change their profile experience, go on trip, etc.). So, it becomes a non-intrusive, sophisticated way to share with all of your "connections" on LinkedIn what you're up to in real estate! Also, it helps people find you as agents and brokers by who you know-- who doesn't want to work with someone who is a "friend / connection"? Or friend of a friend (which you can also see). On another note, if any of you really enjoy the app, please email me at susie at marino dot com because I would love to hear more about your story. Thanks for the great post Praful!

Are you still using it? Do you find people on LinkedIn are looking for listing info?

I am comment stalking the fella in #8 who left the exact same comment on an old LinkedIn post of mine. "Intresting"

Cutting and pasting for points is a waste of time.  To me YOU spoiled 9 conversations yesterday, using them the same as a comment spammer would. The day before you used the same useless comment on posts about YouTube. Using old conversations this way is silly.  Even a post with NO conversation on it is  better off without a generic piece of cut and paste garbage in my opinion.

Praful may feel differently.

I wonder with serial comment spammers who are members if AR says something if the cut and paste comments are reported.  Or if they just delete them and the points.  Not much invested  as the point of leaving the comment is  just for points.

You should try reading some of the posts you post your cut and paste comments on.  Your comments don't even make any sense.

Maureen, I do agree with you - it is not a good idea to cut-n-paste comments, Dave. More so when it does not have any correlation with the topic.

I did think of deleting the comment - but just did not do it, as it was virtually invisible to everyone since this post was more than 2 years old.

To build the relationship, cut-n-paste method does not work. On the contrary, it leaves a bad taste for the blogger since the comments were meaningless.
