What makes a "good" client?
The simple answer is one who appreciates what I do. But there's more to it.
- I'm currently working with a seller who has done a superb job in preparing the home for sale. This good client made my job so much easier.
- I'm closing on a listing with a client who reduced the price when I presented the data that supported a price reduction. This good client trusted my advice.
- After considering to make an offer on a home I enumerated several reasons why making an offer was not a good idea. I suggested to keep looking at more homes. The client asked me: "But what about you?" This good client (customer, to be precise) was actually aware of the time they were spending with me without me getting paid (yet). We just made an offer on another, much better, home.
- One of my "down-sizing" clients decided to postpone the sale of their home and purchase of a condo until next year. They sent me a gift certificate to a nice restaurant . This good client showed appreciation for the work done so far.
One more thing: these good clients are not "easy" clients. They are demanding but fair and appreciate a job well done.
They make me work harder and happy doing it.
Gerhard............I love good clients...............I have had several.......but not enough........never enough.....right?
