The Marble Slab CreameryNear the north entrance to the Coconut Point Mall is a courtyard area with a handful of dining establishments that include Doc Greens, Starbucks coffee and Marble Slab Creamery.

The Marble Slab Creameryis a great ice cream store that offers inside and outside courtyard seating.

The courtyard has just recently been completed and the remaining restaurants are opening in the next few weeks.  The high point of this courtyard is it's Koi and turtle pond and waterfall features.  Kids just love it, too.

When the winter months roll around, there is a gas fire pit with seating to enjoy.  Yes, it does get cold enough for a fire in South Florida.

This mall is pet friendly.  Dog water fountains are located through out the Coconut Point Mall complex - including this courtyard area.

Chris - I should not be reading this so early in the morning, I am think icecream instead of cereal.  Having your ice cream while enjoying a fire in the winter does sound inviting.

Looks great-

But I have to disagree with 1 thing - it in NEVER cold enough for a fire in FL!

I've heard of the Creamery, but I've never been in one.  Oh well, next trip.

Hi Chris,
This sounds like my kind of place--love ice cream.  Oh shoot, I will have ice cream on the brain all day now and probably end up having to have some.

Chris:

Now you did it.  I'm going to have to go there and try it out. That means at least another hour in the gym.

I have heard that this is the original, not cold stone... would you believe founded in Alaska?

I know someone who used to decorate cakes there.... they were great!

Chris:  Have you noticed the little dog illustrations on the mall directory, indicating what parts are pet friendly?  I love it!   Someone should open a doggy boutique there....hmmm....

Chris,
It seems that ice cream has been on your mind a lot lately!  I think we may get along just fine!  They really do have good ice cream.  Well, enough about this...I am going to have a bowl of Cookies-N-Cream!
