for Coffee in Battle Creek, Michigan.
My wife is Colombian, and she has indoctrinated
me into being an aficionado on a great cup of coffee. We often seek out places in town that are either near downtown, or near places we frequent.
One of the commonly known great places for coffee in Battle Creek, Michigan is Starbucks. Now, I know this is a chain outlet, but they serve pretty good coffee. Starbucks has three locations in town, one in downtown, one at Barnes & Noble Bookseller and the third at a drive through near Harper Creek Village.
Another great place for coffee in Battle Creek that is also a chain outlet is Caribou Coffee. Once again, a great cup of coffee. I actually prefer Caribou Coffee over Starbucks, and so does my wife. I also like that they have bear shaped foot stools, and a cozy fireplace where you can slump into a comfortable chair and enjoy your coffee. 
Now, another locally owned place that ranks high on the list of ‘Great Places for Coffee in Battle Creek, Michigan' is Brownstone Café' in downtown. They are located right off Michigan Ave. They will mix a custom cup of coffee, mocha or espresso that will 
put the big chains to shame! They also have a cool gallery and relaxing place to kick back or meet with friends.
Starbucks, Caribou and the Brownstone Café' all have WiFi which is a major plus.
Horrock's Famers Market and Grocery Store in downtown also started serving coffee free to their customers while they shop. It is self serve, but it is fresh ground and the best place in town to get a hot cup of ‘Colombian Supremo' (my wife & my own favorite!) with your choice of half & half, Whipping Cream, honey and/or sugar to feed that desire! They also sell fresh ground organic coffee in a dozen different flavors, which is hard to beat in the area. Talk about a great place for coffee!
Now some other lesser known places that make the list for ‘
Great Places for Coffee in Battle Creek, Michigan' is the Pancake House off of Capital Ave, but they don't serve it as strong as I like it, but it is tasty.
Another good restaurant that serves a good cup of joe is the Griffen Pub. I have not had coffee there often, but it is good. They also have a cozy environment for those cold winter days.
Another is Panera Bread, where you can get a fresh cup of espresso 
and/or coffee, which rivals the chain coffee places. Panera also has WiFi and a comfortable environment to sit and drink your coffee while you work. Just with this feature, it makes my list of Great Places for Coffee in Battle Creek.
Off of Columbia Avenue there is also ‘Big Apple Bagels' which makes a pretty good cup of coffee. You can also get freshly made bagels and other confections there as well. I stop there often, as it is on my way to the office. It is hard to pass up on their bagels!
Being a Real Estate agent in Battle Creek, I tend to like to get my day kick started with a great cup of coffee, so I hope this list helps you if you also enjoy the same.
