Rainy Day, In Connecticut!

By

Much needed rain, fell on Connecticut, today.  Our Governor has even announced an alert to let citizens know that they need to conserve their water usage, wherever possible.  The coming days, are also, forecasted to have rain.  This should help to return our water levels, in our reservoirs, to a normal state.  We've had an awesome, sunshine filled summer, but, we really do need this rain.

I started out today, attending Church, early Mass.  Then, off to work!  I showed several homes in Glastonbury and Marlborough.  This was the first time out looking for these clients, so, they now have their homework to do.  Deciding which style house is right for them, and which town appeals to them. The buyers are offered so many choices right now, I am sure that they feel like a child at Christmas! I advised them to visit the town's schools and ask many questions.  Maybe, arrange to sit in on a class, since school will be starting soon. They currently rent an apartment, so, they are ready to go!  No lease.

Home by 4pm, which is pretty good.  I fed the black labrador and then, started working on my assistant's assignments for this coming month. We definitely used our Black Dog Umbrella today!

Set up a few appointments during the day.  Yes, I take my phone with me.  I am happy to take a few moments, to set up my showings for my listings.  The clients that I am with, don't mind.  I do always ask, just in case.

It was a good day today!  Even in the rainy weather, the outlook is bright!

Hi Fran ~ It's simply wonderful to finally get some rain.  We still need a lot more so I'm hoping that it lasts.  The chirpy comments from the weather girls and boys about another sunny day were getting on my every last nerve. Meanwhile everything is dying or dead and now brush fires have been starting. I've been hauling buckets of water to a few street trees but I think I started too late on my mission. I don't remember a summer like it.  Give me last year's summer - cool and rainy through July!

Elizabeth,

So true!  I can just imagine what winter will be like!  I remember summer's like this one, from years ago.  The winter that followed was very snowy!  Enjoy the days we have remaining of this summer!  It seems to go by faster, every year!  Thank you for stopping by!

It's always a good day when it starts off with Mass.  I love, love, love CT.  I grew up in SoCal about 60 miles east of LA in the Inland Empire.  Trying to think of expressions out there we used that have different meanings here, as I read your other posts, too.  Hmmm, when one comes to me, I'll let you know.  Thanks for stopping to comment on my blog.  It's a wonderful day here in the Rain. :) Gail
