Views of La Jolla - North & South

La Jolla is truly the "jewel" of San Diego. This morning we took a drive south to visit Pacific Beach and when coming back into La Jolla went up the hill. The first photo below is of the view to the south of La Jolla.

Then we headed to the village and had lunch at Alfonso's Restaurant on Prospect and while there we walked over and took some pictures of the view to the north of La Jolla, which is the second photo below.

What an incredibly beautiful place we live in and what a beautiful day today!

Hi Susan, Of course I couldn't agree more. How fortunate we are to live and work here. Seeing the excitement of others as they discover new the place we call home is so fun, isn't it. Have you been to Safari Park ( Wild Animal Park) in a while? It is so much improved. It is so much photographer friendly so I know you will enjoy as it as well.

Susan - It really is a stunning scene for certain! I'm not really familiar with La Jolla. What is the body of water tha appears slightly inland from the ocean?

Myrl, the water inland is Mission Bay. There are parts of Mission Beach in Pacific Beach that are on the ocean and across the street there are other homes on the bay - a very special place! ~ Susan

Liz and Bill - love the Marine Room and although a bit pricey it is well worth watching the waves come up to the windows!

Susan, Will concur on the pricey part. Used to have a supplier in La Jolla, and the rep used to like to take us there. When the RE/MAX convention was in San Diego, took Liz and another couple there. They loved it!
