THE CLEAN COAST MUSIC AND ART FESTIVAL OFFERS MUSIC, ART AND HOPE A benefit event to clean, restore and protect our coast. ...Sunday ▪ August 22 2010 ▪ 11 a.m - 11 p.m HarborWalk Village, Destin, FL Join the community at HarborWalk Village for the Clean Coast Music & Art Festival, a day-long extravaganza of live music performed in all genres on over 6 stages, plus over 40 regional artists displaying in all mediums, a free kid's zone play area, all to benefit organizations who have been impacted by the BP oil spill. "What an honor to host this event! Offering uplifting messages of hope through music and song, and raising the spirits of all who have been affected. Music Legends, Icons and Idols "Over 30 bands have all generously donated time, talent and passion to share in our efforts to clean and protect our coastal waters and all creatures that depend on it" explained Tim O'Shea, one of the founding members of Clean Coast Music and Art Fest. The distinguished and impressive line-up includes Music Hall of Fame members and recent American Idol finalists. Col Bruce Hampton- New Orleans Col. Bruce Hampton has been making music since he formed his first band in 1963. Col. Bruce has been in constant motion ever since leaving a trail of memorable live performances with his many bands, including The Late Bronze Age and Col. Bruce Hampton and The Aquarium Rescue Unit. Along the way he has appeared in the movie "Sling Blade" as the poet and band manager Morris and starred in Mike Gordon's cult classic "Outside Out" as a mystical guitar 'out'structor. Since 2006, The Colonel has been playing a unique blend of blues and jazz with his band Col. Bruce & The Quark Alliance Greg Barnhill- Nashville In music city everyone knows Emmy Award Winner, Greg Barnhill. His talent, energy, and love for music is evident in his songs through the voices of Tim McGraw, Amy Grant, Vince Gill, Lonestar, Martina McBride, Etta James, Bryan White, Lee Ann Womack, Ty Herndon, Sherrie Austin, Pam Tillis, and Jessica Simpson Coco Robicheaux-New Orleans A legend in New Orleans and Music Hall of Fame Member, Coco has faithfully delivered his mojo soul for millions over the past four decades. Most recently Coco was featured on HBO's hit series"Treme" Sundance Head- Porter, Texas Son of singer Roy Head, who scored a #2 smash hit in 1965 with "Treat her Right," Sundance attributes his love for music to sharing the stage with his father as a child. Sundance became the first American Idol contestant in history to score a recording contract with a major record label, Universal Motown, without finishing in the Top 12. Local favorites include: Jones & Company, Dread Clampitt, Black Eyed Blond, The Fly-tones, Cadillac Willy, The Dent Bros, The Forrest Williams Band, Heritage. Papillon (his "grand-père" gave him the name, meaning "Butterfly," when he was a boy) weaves them together with explanations of Cajun traditions and of the French words that he uses and with warm reminiscences from childhood.
