Start with working on your next OscAR acceptance speech. It is very important, and requires practicing in front of the mirror. You need to learn to demonstrate absolute unexpectedness….
It could be something like “Oh, I am completely lost for words. It is so unexpectedly, I just stopped by on my way from the (lunch, dinner, bar, hair salon, grocery store) and here you came with Oscar…”
After you are ready with your acceptance speech, it is time to get to the video.
The best way to learn is to follow someone, who knows how to do it. There are many members in our ARlywood, and its shelves are loaded with works of stARs.
For the best results I suggest you follow Debe Maxwell. Just in the last few days she produced two very good videos.Relocate to Charlotte NC and Charlotte NC Neighborhoods - Longview Country Club
Note a combination of still and video in one presentation. Has a good visual affect. But for Debe, who does everything to the MAXimum and does it so WELL, it was not enough to do just that. And she added voice over the presentation.
This is it. It is pleasing for the eye, it is moving, and your ears are also working. You just can’t beat it.
Watch it again and again. It is all so simple, but few do well.
Did you notice that both videos are shorter than 3 minutes? Besides being a sign of genius, brevity in AR video is a matter of survival. If you have a 10 min video, and on the last slide it invites customers to call a certain number, do not sleep with the phone, it won’t ring. Even if customers wanted to give you a call, it is highly unlikely they would be patient to see your contact information, so follow KISS. It is not only “Keep it simple, stupid”, it is also “Keep it short, stupid”.
And if you do everything right, OscAR may be yours
