Helping Your Clients Stop the Madness!

Getting off a Telemarketer’s List

When a telemarketer calls, document when and where they are calling from and ask them to please put you on their “do not call list” (use those exact words). According to federal law, they are not allowed to call you again. If they persist and continue to call you, you can make a report to National Fraud Information Center.

The Federal Government created the National Do Not Call Registry, a free and easy way to reduce the telemarketing calls you get at home. To register, visit www.DoNotCall.gov or call 1-888-382-1222 from the phone you want to register. This stays in the registry for 5 years. After that period, you must renew your registration!

Scott,

Thanks for the information on how to stop that mortgage junk mail.  I get so sick and tired of receiving mail telling me that I am paying too much for my mortgage.  I am a mortgage broker.  I think I know what program is best for me, and if I need to refi, guess what?  I will be my own client.

Well, I need to file a request.

Thanks again.
