I love the Ag Map picture with the different kinds of potatoes on the cover. The blue ones are fun to cook with and can make for some interesting conversation when served to people who did not know that there really are blue potatoes.

Joan - I'm a big fan of local Farmer's Markets.  I have a little tradition of visiting the one that congregates near my home on Saturday mornings.  It sets the tone for the week.  One of the stands specializes in different varieties of potatoes, and has a mixture very much like the one in your picture.  Nice presentation, Joan!

Sylvia ~  Maybe CA has a guide to the winneries like this... It would be a lot of fun!

Myrl ~  These guides will be great for the local produceers as well as for the public.  I know a lot of folks want to support our local growers and producers.  I am looking forward to seeing the gardens as well.  It should be a great experience... and then cooking with the fresh produce and decorating with beautiful flowers will top it off.
