With the economy in a funk, people are turning to get more education to tool up for the next upturn. Or, next industry they want to work in.
And, with the high cost of universities with their tuition increases, smart people are getting value in Community Colleges.
The Maricopa Community College district boasts 10 colleges with a student enrollment of about 106,000 students this year that are enrolled in at least one class. Last year the enrollment stood at 97,000. That's an increase, folks!
And, it makes sense. Job skills need to be honed, or changed, or learned, or remembered. The economy is often brutal, hard and difficult to predict. Industries are growing, falling and often not staying the same. Students have to be ready for the world tomorrow, whatever their age.
Good Deal. Check this out: Tuition for an ASU undergraduate student is $667 per credit hour. But, at the community college it is a bargain for only $71 per credit hour. Wow...
So consider you local community college eduction track. It is a worthwhile bargain to consider.
