The Inn On Church Street Hendersonville, NC -- Who Did It!!

We had reservations at the Inn On Church Street in downtown Hendersonville NC on Saturday evening.  Actually we arrived early at 4:45 before most of the other guests for "the do".

The Inn has been a Hendersonville fixture since 1921 and has specialized in Southern hospitality when in operating condition since then.

During the depression the Inn was sold for $25 on the courthouse steps!  In 2000 this historic property escaped being demolished and was renovated and lovingly restored back to total respectability with a wonderful reputation for all who had the pleasure to experience spending some time at the Inn.

We were there for a mystery dinner affair.  A crime would be commited while we were all gathered in the lobby celebrating the awarding of Oscars with cocktails and watching the stars, the starlets, award winners, photographer and celebrity interviewer gathering information.

Which One Did It?

It was a fun evening and the family style meal was great.  I wouldn't want to give away the guilty one in the awful crime that was committed in the lobby!

What fun!  I've always wanted to go to a "who done it?" dinner theater, but haven't yet.  Thanks for sharing your evening with us.

Sounds like fun.  I went on a murder railroad trip one time in Canada and it was a hoot.  Hope you enjoyed yourselves.

Hi Patsy and Cindy.  I have always wanted to go to one and so hubby and I did.  It was a great evening.  Marvin had some issues trying to take it all in as he has a hearing issue (he says no, BUT, yes he does!)  And the Inn on Church Street is such a neat place to have it take place although the acoustics don't help with the sounds and noises.  Pretty normal at many cocktail type events.

A couple of years ago there was the same type affair being done on a local tourist railroad line and we missed it.

It was great socializing and enjoying the players who were all from the local Flatrock Playhouse.

Sue, I have always wanted to visit a "mystery" dinner theatre - what fun! Sounds like you had a great tme  - excellent photos, too. It brings back memories of playing the game called "clue" years ago.
