Maryland has a substantial Renaissance Faire every year as well.  Yours sounds quite comprehensive and loaded with fun for all.  Thanks for sharing.

Sounds like a pretty cool event, Leah. If I ever happen to be in the area when the faire’s occurring, I’d like to check it out.

Tish, Have you ever attended your local one?

Bill - Please do and if you're in the area, maybe we could meet up.

Joshua - that's quite a ride for you.  Old Bethpage isn't a renaissance faire, is it?  I thought it was an old village restoration/museum.

Our daughter and son-in-law hosted a Renaissance Faire for several years.  It was quite an event.  We don't have one per se in our area.. They are a lot of fun for the whole family.

Leah, We have one near here (just a bit north of Cincy), but looking at your photo/clip, I'd say yours trump ours!  We went to our local one once some number of years ago.

It is definitely a great event.  A wonderful place to bring the kids.  The jousting is my favorite event there.  Great post Leah!

Great article on the NY Renaissance Faire, but the picture shown is NOT of the Ren Faire in Tuxedo NY. I've been going for years, and that gate/entrance/castle is nowhere on the grounds of the NY faire, nor has it ever been; that pic must be of some other Ren Faire.  Our gate is much prettier, as are all of the grounds at the NY faire! Loved the article though! :)
