Cary Real Estate: "What's Love Got to do with It?"

One of my favorite Motown songs ... (Yes, I grew up in Detroit) ... is Tina Turner's "What's Love got to do with It".  I love the way she screams this out as she is trying to reason with herself.   As with a typical real estate decision, once all the facts have been considered like size, price, location, the final call is often emotionally driven.  How does the home make you feel?

  • Can you imagine making this house your home?
  • Does it exhaust you to think of the renovations?
  • Does it feel welcoming when you walk through the door?
  • Would you feel comfortable inviting your friends here?

It is really important that home sellers understand this concept.  As I start to work with clients that are getting ready to sell their home, one of the best services I can provide is to help them walk in the shoes of a Cary home buyer.   It helps them remove themselves from the attachment of their "home", and view it as a "house" from the eyes of a buyer.... in this buyer's market, it will be one of many houses to choose from!  Helping clients develop an objective view of their home will assist them in staging it to sell.  A well staged, priced  and presented home will sell more quickly for a higher price, than one that is not ready to embrace the mindset of today's buyer.

Feel free to check out your competition, and view Cary NC homes or any of the homes for sale in the greater Raleigh area.
