I have friends who moved to Cary a few years ago and love it. I have never been to North or South Carolina so it is on my short list. Not sure how I have missed that part of the country after all these years!

Shar - Cary is a beautiful town, especially in fall and spring.  You should come visit your friend sometime.  We visited before we had children and knew this was where we wanted to live.  We moved here 13 years ago and love it.
