Area Rugs......Will Make a Room Special While Adding a Touch of DRAMAl!

Kathy - You have some gorgeous rugs to go with your beatiful staging. The size of the rug makes a difference as well.

Those rugs are gorgeous, Kathy!  They add just the right amount of drama to the room!

Kathy - great rugs and great post.  I think it is essential to add a rug to a furniture grouping otherwise it looks like the furniture is floating on the floor.  Rugs tie the pieces together. 

I often read negative comments about placing area rugs on top of carpet, but I think your photos make a good case for doing so in certain circumstances.  Gorgeous rugs - perfectly chosen in every instance! 

Kathy- area rugs definitely tie groupings or "areas" together.  Loved the examples you showed.

I totally agree, Kathy.  I cringe when I hear designers say that you can't put area rugs on top of carpeting.  I do it all the time, in my own home as well as stagings.  Nothing pulls a living area together better than a great area rug.

I recognize those great rugs ;) Rugs differentiate the areas for sure.

Rugs can define the space, and I totally agree, rugs can be used on carpet, but you don't see that much.  Good work.  Lori you recognize those rugs...of course you do.  How are you?   

Kathy - Love your choice of rugs.  Rugs really are another accessory and can have a huge impact.  As you've shown, they can also add fun, interest and whimsy. 

Rugs definately have their role.  There are some instances where they need to be removed but you have definately shown where they play a starring role!

Kathy -- I love these rugs!  They add so much life to the spaces, and it WOULD be hard to imagine the rooms without them.

Great rugs that compliment the rooms. It's not easy to find great rugs, but a what a difference the perfect rug makes in a room.  Good work!
