Remax hot air balloon

Val Vista Lakes in Gilbert AZ  is celebrating their 25th year anniversary on Friday September 24, and Saturday September 25, 2010.

The Public is invited to help us celebrate on Sat Sept 25.

  • Come see the Re/Max hot air balloon up close and personal.
  • Bring the kids to enjoy the kids events.
  • Bring an appetite to sample food from our Val Vista Lakes community restaurants and caterers.
  • And bring a little money to do some shopping at our Artisan Market

Recently our Val Vista Lakes property manager, Richard Andrews, asked me if I could help him get the Re/Max Hot Air Balloon for the event. Of course I'm always eager to help our Val Vista Lakes Clubhouse and community when I can, so I began inquiring.

It required a 200 foot square space without obstacles for the balloon, so I went out to measure the spot where the balloon will be tethered to make sure  we had the required space; and we did. Next I spoke with the Re/Max International headquarters and they put me in touch with the Re/Max balloon pilot.

Arrangements were made and our HOA will be signing the contract.

I volunteered to sponsor the balloon by paying the entire fee. That gives me an opportunity to give something back to help support our Val Vista Lakes Clubhouse and community in addition to some of the volunteer work I do for our great Val Vista Lakes Clubhouse and Community in Gilbert AZ.

  • Re/Max Balloon Location:     Parking lot of Fry's Plaza at Val Vista Drive and Baseline Road, Gilbert
  • Time:                                  Saturday Sept 25, 2010  5-9pm

From the Fry's Plaza location on the waterfront, you'll have a wonderful view of the waterfront side of the spectacular Val Vista Lakes Clubhouse.

Val Vista Lakes will be donating a portion of the proceeds from the weekend events to our Val Vista Lakes Elementary School.Artisan Market 2010

The event is being held in the evening. The Balloon will begin inflating around 6:00pm as soon as a wedding ceremony is complete, and will stay inflated until about 8:30pm.

The inflated and lighted balloon should be a beautiful sight at night. So be sure to stop by.

If you're there early you'll be able to see them inflate the balloon (See the first video below)

The event will also include:

  • Food tastings supplied by local restaurants and caterers
  • Artisan market
  • Bouncers (for kids)
  • Train ride
  • Much more

The event on the 25th is being held on the waterfront of the large lake by the Fry's Shopping Plaza.

It's open to the public as well as to Val Vista Lakes residents. Our Local Restaurants and Caterers will have food booths, so you can sample all the delicious foods our Val Vista Lakes neighboring restaurants have to offer.

  • Residents can purchase food tickets at the Val Vista Lakes Clubhouse in advance
  • Non-residents can purchase food tickets at the event.

It will be a fun event, so don't miss it. On another post I'll provide more details.
