Happy Birthday To Me!

Costco Chocolate Cake

Yup today is my 48th birthday, so . . . Happy Birthday To Me. We all do it every year, whether we celebrate with a party attended by dozens, or a quiet dinner with family, it's our day to do what we want to do.  Read about my celebration below, but also share with us what you did for your birthday this year - or plan to do it if hasn't rolled around yet. 

This year we celebrated on Saturday at my younger brother's house.  Our wonderful 69 year old father asked what I wanted for dinner and I requested his spaghetti and meatballs, yum yum!  We finished off dinner with a delicious Cocsto All American Chocolate Cake.  If you haven't tried one yet, you are missing out!  The cake is something like seven pounds of chocolate goodness.

After opening cards my niece Kylie opened my presents for me, a pair of tennis shoes (mine were on their last legs), a gift card to Borders (two new books coming out later this month I'm looking forward to), and a gift card to AMC Theatre (love, love movies!).  My seven year old niece Kylie and nine year old nephew Kellen also made me presents (photos below) which included all of their pets Jake the cat, Mr. Piggy and Sonic Piggy their guinea pigs, too cute!
