Adjectives - don't you just LOVE them? Why plainly respond, "Well, this is nice" when you can say, "Well, this is fantastic, stupendous, the cat's meow, or supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!"
I enjoy reading the remarks in MLS listings by inventive agents, and after a few years, I have to say I've got a bit of a mind set when I come across certain "keywords"
Here's my top 10 list, and I'm sure you can add more:
1, 2, & 3. Descriptors that raise your eyebrows when viewing REO, bank-owned, foreclosed-upon vacant homes: "one of-of-a-kind, chic, enchanting" Definitely, those are the adjectives that come to mind when viewing green swimming pools teaming with algea and floating rodents. Mmmmm - not to mention the inside of the home.
4. Cute as a button. (Sq. footage equivalent to postage stamp)
5. Great bones. (can either mean it's down to the 2 x 4's OR it's a gen-u-whine fixer upper!
6. Exquisite. Where does an agent pull that word from when the doors have fist size holes, the walls have been ripped apart in the bathroom to fix plumbing leaks, and the carpet resembles Fido's doghouse rug that's five years old?
7. Lush greenery. Tree trimmer, anyone?
8. Resort style living. I BELIEVE that means there are palm trees - we have a lot of them in the SW
9. World-class hiking. Really? I mean, REALLY?
10. Ultimate privacy. (dirt road to property)
