Very interesting. I wonder what percentage of residents DID in fact paint the other sides of their own homes. Ah, yes... Curb Appeal!
Curb appeal is still something that makes as much of a difference as staging.
Hi Jim,
Neat story. And it does reinforce the importance of curb appeal and first impressions.

Hey Jim, that is some pretty interesting info. Works in his favor but in someways also the new owner because they can really custom design how they want their home to look :) thanks for the history lesson!
Great post Jim, attract Buyers to us by looking as sharp as we can and choosing the properties to show that are sparkling hopefully on the inside as much as on the outside!
Thanks for the bit of history, Jim. Obviously curb appeal has always been key. I wonder if the cave men ever worried about their cave appeal?
Jim, clean it, paint it, but don't leave the other 2 sides looking bad....
Better than fiction! Have a great day!
Jim.....Your story really drives home the point of how important the first impression (curb appeal) really is to a prospective buyer.
Jim: San Diego already has a great reputation and many people want to live there, including me!
Jim, Mr, Horton understood people very well. He was able to leverage that understanding to become a very effective RE marketer.

Hi Jim ~ Nowadays instead of whitewash we use granite and stainless steel.
