If you read the West Hawaii Today newspaper today - You're probably wondering what kind of DRUGS I am on - right? If you're me - I am wondering what they are on ? I just got home from my Brokers class and read today's paper - Unbelievable!!! FRONT page today - Real Estate Market Remains sluggish in West Hawaii What do you do when they distort the numbers like this - I mean - yes, we are sluggish when compared to 2005 numbers - OK - I will give you that, but I think every living person on the planet earth knows - in hindsight- that was not a real economy. Let's look at what the true story is here - August 2010 - dead even with Aug 2009 sales, and we have 6 days left in the month to report new sales. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure out we are tracking a 20% increase from 2009 - OK - not enough - take a look at 2008 - we are already 60% over August 2008 sales numbers, and don't forget - we still have 6 days left. America - wake up - tell the News organizations to stop reporting opinions, and just give us the facts.
Want More? 16 out of the last 17 months - straight, we have seen an increase in sales - some months being a 100% Increase! Now that's a FACT. The only month that dipped was July - the reason being the deadline for the tax credit - don't confuse this fact with more distortion from the press - yes we did see an increase in June closings due to the tax credit, but all we did was borrow CLOSINGS from July, Please note the difference between closings and sales.
