For some reason The Doors song "Riders On The Storm" came to me while getting ready for the work today. Maybe it was the four day Nor' Easter we had in Boston that just ended last evening when I was sleeping or maybe it was those shocking sales reports were released two days ago. Since then I have seen different attitudes developing within the Realtor community.
If you have been practicing real estate for more than 10 years this isn't the first time we had a recession or downturn in the market. This one is by no measure like anything most of us have seen...but we have had markets that adjusted...why are we whining so much? The foreclosures, short sales, bankruptcies for sure have us all rattled...but if you are really a professional in this industry this is all part of what we do everyday. We always have to deal with market cycles, market dynamics, market reports and the fears of our buyers and sellers....THIS IS NOTHING NEW!
So listen to The Doors singing about the "Riders On The Storm" and never forget this...even in the future when this is all behind us...there will be another market cycle when things will get hairy again...IN THE FUTURE! Oh and btw...this storm will pass...they always do.
